Our Time at Nimmitabel: Steampunk @ Altitude

After over 18 months of inactivity Skav’s attended it’s first festival in 2021 – Steampunk @ Altitude, in Nimmitabel. The weather was beautiful and it was a great weekend! Some of the Airship Sirius Crew came along as well after dusting off our steampunk outfits.

We drove up on Friday and were set up for both days of the festival. There was music in the air and the whole town came alive on Saturday with shops selling their wares and attractions all along the main street of Nimmitabel. On Saturday afternoon a fashion parade was held in the Green Square where Skav’s was located and everyone took part in the fun. On Sunday there was a pet parade too!

On Saturday night Skav & the Crew attended a Steampunk inspired 4 course dinner at The Federal Hotel which was a night to remember. There was local music and lots of great conversation.

It was the first time showing some of our new products at a market – our new dice bags, teacup holsters and premium goggle sets were all very popular! We will be very busy making more of these for the next event.

It remains to be seen if we will be able to attend Nimmitabel Steampunk @ Altitude festival again next year, as Ironfest 2022 will be going ahead shortly before it, but we shall see…
