About Us

Skav’s Steampunk Workshop started as a hobby business in 2013, and over the years has grown to be what it is today – a fixture in the NSW Steampunk community where you’ll find high quality hand made steampunk designs to suit everyone.

You can find Skav’s market stall at most of the Steampunk and Alternative Culture festivals in New South Wales, including Ironfest, Goulburn Steampunk & Victoriana Fair, Teslafest, and others. We are always on the lookout for new events to attend and show our wares.

Our online store is now up and running so you can now buy our wares online as well as at future events (when they are up and running again).

In addition to selling our creations, Skav’s Steampunk Workshop also does custom orders (for the specific prop you had in mind), wedding consultations & decorations, and event hire. For more information about our services, take a look at our services page.

Who Are We?

Lachlan ‘Skav’ MacPherson is the owner of Skav’s Steampunk Workshop. Always an artist and craftsman, Lachlan has a great creative mind – some of his greatest passions include model painting, blacksmithing, wood and leather-working (all self taught). When he is not tinkering in his workshop producing new creations, he plays an active role in the Crew of the Airship Sirius Steampunk Group and the Highland Rose: Jacobite Living History Groups at numerous events throughout New South Wales.
Cassy ‘Beibhinn’ MacPherson, Skav’s wife and partner in the business. When she is not working her main job as a veterinarian she assists in the running of the business at events and enjoys her own crafting projects – mainly sewing, spinning and painting. Cassy also greatly enjoys being a part of the Airship Sirius Crew & The Highland Rose: Jacobite Living History Group.
